During our read-aloud time this morning Matt and Bekah were busy building bridges. They are quite the engineers (particularly because they were actively engaged with what we were reading at the same time as building).
Matt just got an Ipod Touch for his birthday and has been having a lot of fun taking MANY pictures. These are a couple that I thought were particularly spectacular.
I am perhaps a bit old-fashioned but I like to send thank you notes after receiving gifts, etc. So today Matthew wrote some thank you cards for the gifts he received for his birthday. Here are a couple delightful samples!
The boys warmed up for science by building an awesome Lego creation that moved! Levi then did an amazing review of how the eye works using a picture in one of his library books.
We then spent some time trying to figure out the mystery of the "broken" pencil. Refraction of light can be pretty interesting!
Next up were concave and convex lenses.....
And how they affect light as it passes through them.
Another successful soccer season has just finished and Bekah was awarded the "Most Aggressive" player. She was also commended for her leadership and positive attitude on and off the field. Way to go, Bekah!
